Founded in 1973 by Senator Vittorino Colombo - founder and President of the Italo-Chinese Institute - to raise awareness of the diverse realities of the People's Republic of China: culture, history, literature, philosophy, art, economics, medicine, science, Mondo Cinese is the only scientific journal of contemporary Chinese studies.

Italy China Council Foundation has acquired the ownership of the magazine Mondo Cinese with the objectives of increasing its prestige in Italy and abroad, improving its visibility and distribution. ICCF's aim is to offer its members, institutions, and the economic and scientific world a tool and a key to understanding China.
